Available positions: Junior Mechanical Engineer PWTech is seeking a junior mechanical engineer capable of working with significant independence and on a wide range of products and applications from the design phase until final construction. You will need to coordinate during both office and field work with civil, electrical and project engineers, and work with other engineers and fabricators on both new and existing products. Daily tasks will involve:
  • Drawing and designing using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor to create and maintain P&ID, proposal, submittal and fabrication drawings.
  • Selection and integration of sensors, motors, control systems and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Site and commissioning work to include assisting in the installation of equipment as required. 25% travel is anticipated.
  • Communicating with customer engineers to provide documentation and answer RFIs.

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Inventor

Field Services Engineer / Environmental Engineer As a small and rapidly growing company, PWTech requires employees who are adaptable, flexible, hardworking and motivated and who love the challenge of being an integral part of growing a business. This position is for a self-starter who would like to grow with a company, make their mark in the industry and shape their own career path in technical services, sales or management. You will need to work with minimal supervision and be able to demonstrate good judgment and sound reasoning in fulfilling this role. This role will ideally suit a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience. Your primary role will be to provide technical support for our on-site piloting/testing and start-up services.
Daily tasks will involve:
  • Results analysis and report writing
  • Communicating with field technicians to ensure a high quality of work
  • Laboratory analysis work
  • Running pilot tests and commissioning installations
Traveling will be a non-negotiable part of this job. You will be based out of our Rosedale, MD office. It is anticipated that you will spend up to 3 weeks a month on the road traveling throughout the U.S. each week. (Head out Monday, back Friday as a general rule). New hires are expected to apply for a passport as part of the hiring process to support occasional travel outside the United States. This job also involves working predominantly in wastewater treatment facilities when in the field.

Field Services Technician This role will ideally suit someone with a few years of experience as a treatment plant operator or OIT, or who is getting started in the industry. Your primary role will be to provide operator support for our on-site piloting/testing services, and to troubleshoot and maintain existing equipment.
Daily tasks will involve:
  • Running pilot tests
    • Adjusting process equipment to optimize results
    • Calibrating field laboratory equipment
    • Measuring and recording outcomes of trial runs
    • Transport equipment between trial sites
  • Communicating with field engineers and home office to ensure a high quality of work
  • Basic laboratory work and sample analysis
  • Depending on skillset, you may be called upon to analyze your results and report on your findings

PWTech Volute Dewatering Press Pilot Trailer
CAD Designer PWTech is seeking a part-time or full-time CAD Designer for immediate hire in our Rosedale, MD office. You will work closely with mechanical designers, engineers, sales and project managers to provide drawing and mechanical design support to ongoing and future projects. This is an entry level role with the potential to grow with a qualified applicant into a permanent full-time position.
Requirements:
  • Total of two years' experience, through relevant two-year degree or equivalent technical college certification, or hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D drawing in a manufacturing environment, or combination of the above
  • Familiar with layers, line weights, blocks, hatches, scale transitions, linear dimensions, Model Space drafting, and using Viewports in Paper Space
  • Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
  • Minimum availability 15-20 hours per week
  • Pass pre-employment screening including; criminal background investigation and drug screening
  • Possess a valid driver's license (driving record will be obtained to verify the candidate meets the requirement of our insurance policy)

Preferred experience:
  • Mechanical design of sheet metal parts, weldments, pipe fittings
  • Detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, submittal drawings
  • Solidworks 3D modeling: Sheet metal and Weldments
  • Industrial plant layout and equipment drawings in AutoCad 2D/3D
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T

Duties:
  • Provide drafting support to generate, modify and adapt design, proposal, bid package, submittal, fabrication and as-built drawings, sketches or references, and bills of materials
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, sales staff and senior mechanical designer to ensure architectural, structural, electrical and civil plans and models match with internal mechanical drawings and models
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
  • Other tasks as assigned based on skill set, to potentially include mechanical design and engineering support
